So you've got a new DSLR camera? (or you have owned one for a while) and you want to know how to use it? Other than in Auto mode that is.....
12 years ago I was in the same situation, but after a lot of research/learning/reading, trying-out and experimentation, I overcame the seemingly impossible, and finally worked out how to use this amazing piece of equipment.
It's not that bad to be honest, but I do know the struggles some people have with getting to grips with a DSLR. That's why I've decided to offer help those who may need a bit of assistance.

Mixed in with paid sessions will be some free 'Gear Guide' workshops, so you can meet up and see if we're a good fit. Read on to see if this is what you're looking for...

Who are these for?
So if you need to learn how to use a DSLR in manual modes, or have some experience but need further help to progress, these are the ones for you.

DSLR tutorials will be as 1-to-1 home visit/on-location sessions.
Included in the price will be remote support to help with the subjects we cover in your 1-to-1, and the projects that will be set, so you won't be left to flounder or struggle.

What subjects will be covered?
A general DSLR overview

Focussing Techniques
Editing software requirements.

We can also cover the areas you need the most help with.
All tuition will be at a level to suit you, and will be back up with practical demonstrations

All tutorials will be at £30 per hour, with frequency tailored to suit your needs and requirements. For example, have a session once a month, once every two months, it's entirely up to you.

A Platform for learning
Like anything, photography is a skill that needs constant practice and learning. These sessions are designed to give you the basics required to use your DSLR in the manual modes. There will be a requirement to follow up the sessions with projects and practices to make the learning sessions effective.

Limited Places Available
As I'm still carrying out my portrait sessions, the number of 1-to-1 tuition clients I can support will be limited. Initially to just 10.

Photographing portrait subjects, including basic rules for posing and camera settings to capture flattering photos of your nearest and dearest.

How to capture those amazing scenic shots including; camera settings, required equipment and also, why/how they are used, when, where and what to shoot.

These workshops will be priced at £30 per person, and will be group sessions with a minimum number of members required before the workshop can run. (Dates to be confirmed)
I can offer 1-to-1 tuition for either Landscape or Portrait work, but please note, there will be additional charges to cover model fees if required during 1-to-1 portrait sessions, and travel costs for landscape workshops.
