Landscape Fine Art Prints
16th March 2021
In: Landscapes, Blog

I have been wanting to get this up and running for some time, but with lockdowns and restrictions over the past nine months it has put the brakes on my plans. With the government’s road map to the easing of lockdown restrictions now in progress, I am now able to offer Landscape Prints for purchase.
WHAT'S ON OFFER?
Professionally produced, giclee fine art prints in a limited edition run of each image. All prints are signed and numbered below the image and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. The seascapes are printed archival grade, acid-free textured paper on, to enhance the watercolour feel and look of the print.
All prints are supplied loose (no mount or frame), and currently are only be available for local delivery/collection in Great Yarmouth/Gorleston and immediate surrounding area. As I develop the collections and order processing, I will be adding postal delivery to other areas as required.
WHAT IS A LIMITED EDITION PRINT?
It is a set number of prints produced for a particular photograph, and when all the prints have been sold no more will be available. For my limited editions, there are two or three sizes available for each image, with an edition run reducing as the print size increases. The edition number will be marked on the print under the image on bottom left corner, for example 1/200, which indicates that it is the first print from 200 available.
There will also be no more than four Artist’s Proofs of each image. Artist’s Proofs are the initial prints received by the artist or photographer when checking for colour, paper, quality etc. and are marked A/P. These will not be on sale with the Limited-Edition Prints.

WHAT IS A GICLEE PRINT?
Giclee is a French term meaning “to spray”, which refers to the method of production using large format inkjet printers. These printers use small devices that match colour and applies the ink with a high degree of precision resulting in a high-quality print.
Giclee printing is preferred throughout the world’s museums and galleries for its unique painterly qualities. The giclee printing method combined with the fine-art textured papers used, give the final image the look of a watercolour painting. It is more matt in appearance with deep blacks, bright whites and more pastel tones. Due to the way the ink sits on the paper, they appear to have slightly less ‘sharpness’ than a silver halide photo print has, but that is the fine art print’s charm.
PRINT PAPERS
What Print Papers will be Used?
The papers used for Giclee prints are textured, archival grade, and acid free. The Seascape series of images will be printed on Permajet Museum Heritage paper. This is a mid-white, 310gsm alpha/cotton mix base paper. It is totally acid-free, with a water and scuff-resistant coating.

....THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE!
I appreciate that I have received a lot of enquiries over the past year regarding purchasing prints, and that my response has always included ‘hopefully’ and ‘soon’. However, given the situation we have found ourselves over the past 12 months, and in keeping with the spirit of lockdowns and protecting others, I took the decision to delay sales of prints until we are back to (some sort of) normal.
So to all you that have been waiting patiently…thank you, your patience is greatly appreciated.
I hope to hear from you soon!
