Chloe
31st December 2025
Back in July I did this Boudoir shoot with Chloe. As is the way of things recently, I haven’t had a chance to blog about it until now, but better late than never.
This one was at the same location as the shoot I had with Paige earlier in the year, so it would have been easy for me to repeat the session but with a different model. However, the challenge for me was to produce a set of photos different to the previous session here.

Working with Chloe was slightly unusual for me as, at the time of the shoot, she was starting out as a part-time model, so unlike many ladies I have photographed previously,
She had experience in front of the camera. This shoot was more to do with capturing images rather than confidence boosts or a unique experience for Chloe.

Although there were a couple of image sets which were similar, we did work in different areas of the house, using light in a different way.
A few years back I did a shoot which was low-key (in a lighting sense) which basically means a lot of darker tones and shadows in the image, as opposed to my usual brighter (or high key shots). It worked well, but I never really added to those style of images in subsequent shoots. Given the lighting in one of the bedrooms in the house, it was a fantastic opportunity to revisit the style once again. I was very pleased with them, I’ll leave it to you to decide how good they are.

I really enjoyed the shoot with Chloe, it was a fun session. Laughs and some great images, which is all anyone could ask for. She was great to work with, very professional, and took direction very well. All in all, I think we both learned a lot from the shoot. After all. Every day is a school day!

As things stand, this looks very likely to be the last boudoir shoot I work on under the banner of Martin J Patterson Photography Ltd. Please read this post about the future of MJPP Ltd.
